The only specific requirement is that the customer must give their explicit consent and the charges must be energy-related—whether it’s hardware (HVAC, IoT, battery, lighting, etc.), software (energy management systems, etc.), or a service (consulting, utility bill audit, etc.). The duration of fee does not have any specific requirements, but a minimum of one month.
There are minimum requirements for customers to participate in EnPowered’s Payments solution which vary by region. EnPowered will work with you to validate customers as part of the process.
